The reference tropical hardwood for decking in North America: solid Ipê boards, dried and milled to US sizes.

Ipê (Handroanthus spp., formerly Tabebuia) is the wood under the Coney Island and Atlantic City boardwalks and the Brooklyn Bridge walkway. It is so dense that it sinks in water, and it resists rot and termites without any treatment. Left bare it weathers to a uniform silver gray; oiled, it holds a deep olive brown. Since November 2024 the genus is listed in CITES Appendix II, so every shipment leaves Brazil with a CITES export permit that we arrange with the mill.
