Ipê with character: the same species as our standard Ipê decking, sorted for boards with pronounced light and dark striping.

"Rajado" means striped in Portuguese. Brazilian mills separate Ipê boards with strong color variegation (olive, tan and chocolate streaks running along the grain) from the uniform brown boards. Mechanically it is identical Ipê: same hardness, density, durability and CITES paperwork. The difference is purely visual, which makes Ipê Rajado a way to offer a true Ipê deck with more figure, typically at a lower price than uniform-color Ipê. Unfinished, the striping softens as the deck grays; a UV oil keeps it visible.
