Prefinished solid Sucupira flooring, a dark, striped hardwood sold in the U.S. as Brazilian Chestnut.
Sucupira grows in the Amazon and the Cerrado. Its heartwood is medium to dark brown, crossed by fine lighter bands that give each board a distinctive hand-drawn figure. Unrelated to the chestnut tree, it is nearly as hard as Cumaru at 3,060 lbf and very resistant to decay and insects. A natural fit for dark, modern interiors and high-traffic commercial spaces.
